OrderGen
Our OrderGen software allows those of you who choose to handle your orders yourselves (Return Only service) to easily enter your orders, view totals and send those orders to us in a format that will ensure no mistakes are made when we print the orders. If you are using either our Full or Data Entry and Return services then you do not need to concern yourself with OrderGen; we do all of this for you.

  • Just enter the order reference to link up with the right event and image.
  • Order reference can be made fast and simple with a reasonably priced barcode scanner (see right)
  • Remembers postcodes from previous runs allowing you to build up your own local postcode database. It recognises the leading part of the postcode, so even if not a full match it might at least give you the town and county.
  • Links directly to your PHC databases from ProofStation allowing a visual check of the image (see right).
  • Also accesses the pack information from the PHC database displaying the appropriate set of packs for that event and totals the price of the order (see right).
  • If the payments you have received are by cheque you can un tick the Payment Cleared flag and we will automatically hold printing for 10 days.
  • Generates a grand total for all the orders OrderGen Totalsentered allowing a quick double check that the total matches the total payments you have received.
  • Can generate simple receipts.
  • You can add notes to individual orders that will pop up as soon as we import them.
  • All order details are saved to a single CSV file (can contain orders from multiple events) which you simply email to us and we get on with the printing.
  
     

  Linked into your ProofStation PHC database  
  Linking the reference and imageOrderGen can easily be linked directly into the PHC database generated by ProofStation when you actually did the photography. This has the benefit of giving you a cross check, as the correct image barcode scannerwill be displayed as soon as you have entered the order reference. Many of our client photographers have purchased a reasonably priced barcode scanner (we recommend one for around £100), allowing them to take full advantage of the barcode printed on the proof order forms by ProofStation, making this job easier and more accurate.

OrderGen PacksAlso as soon as the reference is entered OrderGen accesses the pack information from the PHC database and the available choice of packs for that event is immediately displayed. All you have to do is enter the quantities (or click the up and down arrows) and the price for that order is automatically calculated and displayed; making it easy to check the payment provided by the customer.
