Ordering and Delivery


There are a 5 different options for placing orders and you can choose which combination of options you would like to offer to your parents.

OrderMyPhotos Front Page
Drop Box The traditional approach; the customers take their orders and payments to your school and the photographer picks them up at a later date.
Post Orders and payment are posted to us
Telephone Orders can be phoned through to us and paid by credit/debit card
Standard On-Line Order can be placed through our standard secure on-line service using a credit/debit card. This service never displays any of the images
Web Gallery On-Line Orders can be placed through our web gallery secure on-line service using a credit/debit card. This service always displays the images.

  Drop Box Ordering  
  The traditional drop box approach has the customer leaving their order and payment with the school. Payment can be by cash, cheque or postal order.
Pros:
Simple and familiar.
Cons:
Extra administration for the school.
Prone to price addition errors
Prone to customer details data entry errors
Prone to customer details being omitted

Drop box orders will be dispatched within two weeks (normally less than one) of us receiving them or three weeks (normally less than two) if we are processing the cheques.

  On-Line Ordering  
  OrderMyPhotos Order Page 1 We are seeing a steadily increasing proportion of orders coming in on-line as people become ever more comfortable with the internet. Payment can be made by credit/debit card.

Pros:
No administration for the event host.
Price addition errors eliminated.
Customer details never omitted.
Customers should not make mistakes in their own details!
Cons:
Some people do not have credit/debit cards.
Some people are unfamiliar/uncomfortable with the internet.

Parker Franklin provide two alternative ways to order on-line:
  1. Our Standard on-line ordering pages DO NOT have any images on-line which is generally more appropriate for ordering prints of school children. See below.
  2. Our Web Gallery on-line ordering pages DO have images available, careful consideration is advised before using this option for school children. See below right.
On-line orders are dispatched within two weeks (normally less than one) of the order being placed.

All our on-line ordering is done at our www.ordermyphotos.co.uk ordering site. OrderMyPhotos is a trading name for Parker Franklin that we use for all ordering - we deliberately chose an anonymous name so that the order pages can be branded with the photographers own logo. Our company name does not appear on this site.

  Standard On-Line Ordering  
 
No images will be displayed
This is a deliberate decision, as many schools and councils throughout the UK explicitly ban the display of school children's photographs on the internet for ordering purposes.

  Post Ordering  
  The customer sends their order and payment direct to us and we process the order and dispatch direct to them. Payment can be by cash, cheque or postal order, under special circumstances we may also allow credit card payments by post.
Pros:
Simple and familiar.
No administration for the event host.
Cons:
Prone to price addition errors
Prone to customer details data entry errors
Prone to customer address details being omitted, so the order must still be sent to event hosts.

Post orders will be dispatched within three weeks (normally less than two) of us receiving them.

  Telephone Ordering  
  The customer places their order with us directly by telephone, providing all necessary details to our operators. Payment can be made by credit/debit card only.
Pros:
Simple and familiar.
No administration for the event host
Price addition errors eliminated
Customer details never omitted
Cons:
Prone to customer details data entry errors
Not everyone has credit/debit cards
There may be an additional surcharge as this is the most expensive way for us to take orders.

Telephone orders are dispatched within two weeks (normally less than one) of the order being placed.

  Delivery  
 

There are three delivery options:

  • Delivery direct to the event host for them to distribute.
  • Delivery to the photographer for them to distribute.
  • Delivery direct to the customer by Royal Mail.
 
     

  Web Gallery On-Line Ordering  
 
Images will be displayed
Web Gallery Ordering Page 1Unlike our standard on-line ordering page our web gallery ordering page does display the images. You should be certain that this is appropriate before selecting this service.

It can optionally be set up so that individual groups (classes, families) etc. can each have their own area protected by a password that will be printed on their proof order form.


Web Gallery Ordering Page 2 Customers browsing these pages cannot download the images but another option on this service is to have free downloading of the images, whereby the full resolution image files are made available. For example you may wish to have standard ordering for formal portraits and free downloading for certificate/award presentation photographs.
