Schools Databases (SIMS)
Parker Franklin's software can easily produce CDs with small copies of all images taken at your school, that are compatible for importing into schools databases such as SIMS.

We have several photographers around the UK who would be happy to cover your school photography, supplying you with these images for your database. Please get in contact with us and we will be happy to pass the relevant information on to a local photographer. Also, as the processing lab, we ourselves have gained considerable experience in helping schools with their databases and you can always contact us for any assistance you may need.
  What are schools database images
School data base images are small JPEG images of your students' photographs that allow you to link a name to a face in your school database.

These databases are used to give your school a information for each student and include details like attendance, grades and even dinner money.

This service is usually provided free to most schools.

How the images are supplied to you
There are two ways the images can be supplied to your school.
  1. A disk of small images can be generated and supplied to your school at the end of the days photography. You can then manually associate each pupil with their relevant file.
  2. Batch Uploading: you can provide the photographer with a database file of all pupils and staff. After each shot is taken the subject is a associated with the approptriate record in the database, typically using a barcode reader for speed and accuracy.

All this can be done on the same day as the actual photography.
